Apparently Steve Morison has a leak in his camp and one of his staff are giving the media the whole first team 24 hours before a match, it’s been happening a lot.


Paul Abbandonato of media Wales was putting it out on Twitter.

STEVE MORISON:

"We had all the nonsense last night with the team coming out," Morison vented in his post-match press conference. "Maybe that first five and ten minutes wouldn't have happened if Reading didn't know our team news as they wouldn't have had a clue who we were going to play."



He then added: "I was really disappointed.”

“I feel I have to be careful because I think it's very anti-Cardiff if I'm being honest with you as you are giving Reading the advantage and the upper hand.”


“Yet, we are coming here to win the game and I feel we had given them the advantage before a ball was kicked, even though you didn't know 100 percent if it is true.”

What a fecking attention seeking plum abbodonato is - claims he doesn't want to leak so why post the cryptic message at all and then start giving clues as to whter people's guesses are right or not

Wonder who the leak is and SM right to be fuming not so much for the side being known but thinking there is someone in the camp that he can't trust

I think what I am hearing is that it could be one of his main coaches , for me that’s a disgrace and well out of order.

Morison needs to concentrate on finding this member of staff, that’s the real rotten one.

Deserves to be run out of football and it does not help with head of Sport getting involved and boasting about it.
But then he never was a Cardiff fan till we got promoted to the Premier.

It may be that it was a familiar team, but to know even that in advance is to be able to prep confidently; and let's just recall they had a similar start to the game, i.e. took it to us and 1-0 up in minutes...

Me too. Can't believe it can be a member of the coaching team, it's career suicide, its a small world.

The coach whose been doing the leaking needs to be immediately fired and prosecuted for breach of contract.

He's been caught this time for whatever reason but will have done it before, he just got caught out this time, obviously disgruntled. He would have leaked our setup and maybe even mentality to the jacks for sure and who knows what other 'privvy' information he has shared. Odd they had a pop at us straight away when we were expected to do precisely the same thing to them but didn't.

Re: Abbandonato, he was always going to publish. My first ever job was as a newswire journalist for Dow Jones and the mantra was 'publish and be damned' and I know I did. It's all about the eyeballs and clicks.

This needs to have been sorted out by yesterday and I hope it has.

It’s his job to report such things as he hears them. If anything it was decent of him not to release the team sheet, as has occasionally happened in the premier league with the big teams

Spot on Chris. Whatever the circumstances and how its being handled, it's happened and as you say, ithe priority now is firing the leak and making sure it doesn't happen again. As Llan said above, the coach responsible may not work in a senior role in football again, it's a very small world at the top of the pyramid and bad news travels fast.

think its wrong to tell the journo either give us your source or your banned, he's just doing his job as we all would. who ever is leaking information i would of thought maybe a player with an axe to grind personally, but until this weekend i would of said our tactics, formation and line up have been the same under Morison.
