Has the proposition of swapping the Grange and the Canton End been put forward to the club? It would without a doubt improve the matchday experience for everyone ? Just wondering if there has been any dialogue, I think most fans would see this as a positive move and I think it would go someway to improving the relationship between the hierarchy and the fans.

Put simply; no, it ain't going to happen under this regime

Just so that two sets of fans can throw insults and whatever else at each other with 20+ cops and stewards standing between them and running risk of crowd disorder?
It's been debated many times and yes probably improve the atmosphere. But at what financial cost to club in police time and the club's reputation?
In case anyone didn't notice, there are around 20 rows of seats each side separating away fans now
Going to football today is about people enjoying the experience and I'm not sure sticking rival fans between two sets of adult City fans is a good experience for people.....

Those days are behind us now, Reading have made these moves and the atmosphere has definitely improved.

More stadiums than not have the away end next to the vocal home support without trouble happening.

Are there? New stadiums do they have away fans next to the hard core home fans doubt it very much...... older stadiums maybe but I went to most games in premier league and none had hardcore home fans near us ... championship similar experience..... ask yourself why are new stadiums (like ccs) built with away fans away from hardcore home fans? Can you imagine Canton fans next to swans fans ? May not be trouble but that will be down to quite a lot of police stewards and many rows of segregated seats more than on Saturday...... great atmosphere yes but as we've seen ccs can rock without fans next to each other.

In terms of new Championship/PL stadiums off the top of my head I can think of Derby, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Reading, Man City, Southampton all having singing sections next to away fans.
The days of hooliganism are thankfully long gone with gangs of idiots starting fights and smashing up city centres. These days fans will spend 90mins chanting back and forth and giving it all that and then leave through the same exits and walk down the same streets. It even happens at the CCS, away fans are almost always freely able to walk down Sloper road wearing colours and mingle with Cardiff fans without trouble. The only times it doesn’t happen is restricted matches like Bristol and Swansea.

Should have been the case when we first had this stadium.
But it won't happen while there's a certain individual at the club who makes these decisions.

Never going to happen, they would rather away fans abuse family stand

When we go to Swansea there’s not much segration between us they have squeezed them right by us there’s netting and police and stewards this as well happens on the other side of us as well there used to be quiet a bit of segration bewteen us but they need has many fans in as they can for big games they started this in the premier league this is why we are drowned out when. We go there our club want do the same for fear our fans will cause big trouble and with our past reputation they don’t want to go down that road again

There are a plenty of grounds where the away is next to vocal home and not FS. I've done most, never a problem now (CCTV) and the usual banter has added to the atmosphere. It won't happen at the CCS while Lawnmower Man is still in tenure but it should. Policing wise, only a handful of games would require more in no-mans land, Brum, WBA, Wurzels and Jerks.
Certain elements at the club recently told a fan he can't bring his Italian flag anymore or he'd be banned, as it causes offence to English fans. That's what you your dealing with. Total disconnection with fans from the top down and back up again.
