We all know the importance of Derby games, the bragging rights they bring and the pure joy victory gives us for six or even twelve months.
In a season where promotion, relegation, various cup competitions are all over, the local derby game plays even more of a role in boosting fans morale.
That's why yesterdays debacle was even more painful. A four nil defeat at home is not bad luck, it's pitiful. It represents poor planning, lack of application, devoid of any passion for the fixture, club and badge and basically it insults the fanbase if it's ever described as just a poor day at the office and relegated to history that just adds insult to injury.
All coaching and playing staff require to give themselves a good hard look at themselves.
