'JACKS' DON'T LIKE BEING SECOND RATE IN OUR EYES

Sat Apr 02, 2022 2:35 am

Don’t listen to Cardiff City fans, they speak with a forked tongue
By Keith Haynes

Ever heard a Cardiff fan say ‘The game against Bristol City is the main derby’ ?

Anyone with an ounce of sense, or who actually follows their team in west or south Wales will know that statement is about as accurate as…

Much of this has come as the Swans held the bragging rights in league standing and success at the highest of levels this century, so in a way it’s understandable those achievements would be disregarded. It must have hurt them immensely.

However, if you ask an honest Swans or Bluebird follower they will of course give you the real truth.

This is the biggest fixture for both clubs all season, and that’s a fact.

Anyone with 'sense' will tell you that unlike the 'Jacks', the Bluebirds season does not revolve around a two-game season; or four, if you include the Robins...

Football in Wales capital is bigger than that and a look at which fan set infests the others space most (by some distance) will confirm that...

Seems the 'Jacks' don't like not being our priority and the fact is, whilst it is an interesting fixture, it does not make or break a season for us; although a win and 3 points would be very welcome for us tomorrow

Clearly, they don't quite look at it that way down west... ;) :occasion5:

I think its about perspective.

This season, we were in real danger of relegation.
Football has been disgusting for seasons.
Club rudderless.
Many fans disilusioned
and embarrassed.
Nothing to play for.

A weak jack team above us.
Jacks on verge of double.

Now

We are showing signed of fight.
Of direction.
Playing good football.
A Football strategy.
Fans with hope.
And
Something to play for now.

This game is massive today.
Defining.
Its not just about the jacks, but it is too.
Its something ro play for.

Dont take just my word though.
Take the 30, 000 that are going.

This occasion would be 20,000 if we were still aimless....

Its their cup final , its always the same a small team wants to beat the big team. Its just the nature of things.

Agree to a point- (nojac or No Jack! ;))

They loathe everything cardiff, right up to their board. Its part of their DNA.
Its why ex players do swim away.

Its deffo started to even out more for fans though.
Today is about our new dawn.
A chance if hope and glory.
A must no lose game for us if we are
Going to springboard upwards.

Wurzels and Jacks the same to me.
They both hate us more.
Want to knock us down.

We need to be above them
Or it doesnt work for them :king: :bluebird: :D

The rivalry is definitely big for them but I don't buy the Bristol game being big for us certainly in those under 50.

Not all of them are like that.. I know plenty who are good lads. Its usually those who are a bit thick who froth at the mouth from time to time....

It all depends which Cardiff fans you speak to some Cardiff fans will say Bristol city are our rivals some will say Newport county has they are only ten miles up the road some will say the jacks the game today is no big deal anymore not for Cardiff anyway it seems like a normal fixture today no big build up through week maybe I’ll change my mind when I arrive at the game today for some reason the jacks always seemed a bit wound up when we play them they say they hate us with a vengeance but if you ask them why some don’t even know some say it’s because the city of Cardiff get everything but what they want say is it’s because we have been the bigger clubs over the years don’t foreget we where always in the higher divisions in the fifty’s and sixties and always in Europe we where in the old first division long before they ever where

My old man sees the Wurzels as our ‘biggest’ rivals. Jacks for me as my grandad was a Jack and I’d be dragged down there when I was younger and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Wish they would have had face masks and sanitiser back in those days.

I have watched City since 1965 and the JBs were never anywhere near us in leagues Bristol City were the local derby.
Its only since they got in the Premier league that people think its our derby game.
