I don’t understand:
Away end holds 4,0000 at Reading
Crowd won’t be massive.
Cardiff were only given 2,2000 tickets
Millwall and many other clubs were given bigger allocations.

I thought Reading had moved some of the home fans to that end which restricted away allocations - didn’t realise other clubs had been given more this season though.
I haven’t seen the club announce it’s sold out and the game is still on eticketing (despite no tickets available to buy) so perhaps they are requesting some more…

Are you sure other clubs have had more this season? As far as I understood it’s nothing to do with Cardiff. In the past that used to be the case but I remember a Reading fan explaining they don’t do that anymore. They’ve got a supporters group that permanently take up the other half of the stand behind the goal so the away end capacity is capped at 2200.

Reading fan tells me that 2200 is all that is given. No matter what the opposition and it has been for a while.
They have set a ‘singing section’ next to the away end as they got fed up of having away fans take over regularly with many clubs bringing huge followings snd drowning them out.
Has cost them revenue, but improved the balance of atmosphere.
When we played there last and lost 3-0 they were fairly loud and outsung us - not surprising given the scoreline !

Just checked.
Think it was a few seasons ago they were given more
See link here regarding this seasons fixture

Maybe a few went in there ?

Ok I must be wrong , but in tv it looks like the away fans have had more.
Why would Reading take more if the away end, when they can’t fill their own ends?
