‘ Cardiff City Directors Last Day Today ‘

Thu Mar 31, 2022 7:01 pm

Jalil Rasheed, a non-executive director on Cardiff City's board, steps down today as he leaves Vincent Tan's Berjaya Corp.

Vincent Tan appointed him in July 2021 to direct Cardiff’s club strategy, player acquisition and financial planning, having taken over from Tan's son Robin.

He never made the trip to Cardiff, but wants to come to Cardiff in the future.

"I have a bit of regret for not being able to travel to meet HR Owen & Cardiff City.”

“Today’s my last day at Berjaya Corp. and also last day as Board member, including the football clubs. Thank you everybody. Biggest privilege in life for me to be involved in businesses I have enjoyed like retail, “

Come on January’s was solely done by Steve Morison and his staff.
Credit where credit is due.

Morison dropped half of the players that the Comments had been putting in the squad and brought in players that can play football, not hoof ball.

We like to blame the top when it goes wrong, but not when its good.

The truth is we don't know what he did or if he had any impact at all.

When does it go right with the top?

I would love to compliment them, but they f**k up time and time again.

Wow we stayed uo.

After worst ever run in our 120 yr history.

We got in this awful position due to them once again.

If this Summer they actually fully back Morison, I give you my word I will, let’s wait and see once again.

100% Morison changed it all, I personally know the coaches and all say it was Morison.

Cody Drameh is asked if it was a gamble to join Cardiff?

I don’t think so. The way the manager reassured me. He said I’d be playing and I was ready to play. So it wasn’t a gamble.

I knew I could step up to the challenges required and I hope I’ve done that.

It’s my first season in a first-team setting. It’s very demanding and I’ve had to adapt.

But I think the coaching staff have used my experience to help me adapt.

Are you enjoying life at Cardiff?

I’ve loved working under Morison. The lads have made me feel very welcome. They’ve helped me settle in.
