The draw for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar has taken place today in Doha.

Each team will play the three other teams in their group once.

The top two from each group will progress to the Second Round, which is when the knockout stages begin.

Don’t know much about Qatar although expect the team is full of ‘adopted nationals ‘

I think Wales have been slightly hard done due to the Ukrainian situation as had the game been played last night and they had won we would most probably gone into pot 3 or possible pot 2.

Completely agree Blueview. We've been totally done over. Almost ranked high enough to be in Pot 2.

Assuming a play off win, we would actually be the highest ranked team in Pot 3 let alone pot 4

So we are stuck in pot 4 but with the right draw can be the second FIFA ranked team in the group and only two places below the highest ranked in Croatia.

Reminder that this draw takes place at 5pm today.

29 of the 32 teams have qualified, with the remaining three to be decided with play-offs in June.

As said above by others, Wales would likely to have been in Pot Two or Pot Three had we played and beaten Scotland/Ukraine this week. But FIFA made the decision that whoever won the June play-off games would go into Pot Four.

Tbh only advantage is being in pot 1 as we would have one less difficult team to face... teams in pot2 will all have to play pot 1 team pot 3 or pot 4 team same for pots 3-4 but there is a favourable draw but any team getting it would be luckiest team ever.... knowing England they'll get it...

Likewise everyone in pots two, three and four will be hoping to be drawn against Qatar

Ideally we get Qatar, USA, Iran. Most likely we’ll end up with Brazil, Germany and Senegal

No doubt Belgium will be in our group as usual!

So I think we have the easiest start for the knockouts as well

Would have preferred to avoid England but probably the most favourable group in my opinion.

I stand corrected around my previous preference, Qatar and Iran couldn’t be in the same group due to the geography

A very nice draw only way be better if drew Qatar...preferred not to have "them" but other teams in group very beatable.... all got 6o do is get there.

No point in anybody else turning up England have already won it,watching sky news
