Junior Hoilett makes history

Former Bluebird Junior Hoilett scored the third of four goals on Sunday which saw Canada qualify for their first World Cup since 1986.


A neat finish in the 83rd minute from the left side of the box sealed the game for the Canadians against opponents Jamaica. The game finished 4-0 to Canada and saw them progress through to Qatar after bouncing back from a loss to Costa Rica just two days prior.

Hoilett left Cardiff in August last year to join Reading after spending five years with the Bluebirds.
