I dont agree with DJ publicly slating him he is 18 years old. After that game he needs an arm round him. I really do feel for the lad you win as a team and you loose as a team.I have never heard a single bad word against Mark Hudson or Gavin Rae so why pick on young Adam? I dont blame him for the defeat and i hope none of you do but i feel he is to slight for the defensive duties he has been asked to do i see him more of a winger. Opinions please.

Agree with what you say there

He should have not been slated in public by his manager. Forget the fact he is young, it does not matter how old you are you should not get slatted by a superior in public.

Slating the team in public is bad enough but that to me at least holds OK because the manager is just as much responsible as the players.

Totally agree DJ has handled this very badly, his man management skills leave a lot to be desired. He has never turned on other defenders when they have made mistakes. How will this outburst help the young lads confidence.

Maybe he has already tried the arm around the shoulder and it hasnt worked so now he is trying to go about it another way. Although to say he was singled out IMO is nonsense, he was asked a direct question about Matthews so what could he say? he told the truth and then went on about the other players not doing there job.

Personally ive never rated matthews as highly as a lot of people, he certainly has potential but at the moment thats all im really seeing a lot of the time.

what was he doing though it looks like he was trying to score crazy own goal.
