Really ?

I'd be amazed if that's true. With segregation and not a full away allocation that's just about sold out already. I think they would have made an announcement by now if the numbers of tix left were that low.

Downs is there key player according to a Jack I know….reckons their keeper won’t like it one bit if we press and pepper their box with balls. If we sit back and let them have the ball they will love that and grow. Hope Morison knows all this hey

Ryan Manning (LWB) also misses this game with his 4 game ban. He's rated as one of their ball players too so a loss.

Just a quick one for any lads travelling down from the Valleys

Trains will be replaced by buses from Pontypridd southbound - be aware that this will probably add a tumpload of time onto your journeys.

I've now got to convince SWMBO that she needs a shopping trip with the daughter to IKEA/shops down that end via dropping me and the lad to the CCS, then she can pick us back up on her way through or after her obligatory saunter round Costco - she can drop us on the sliproad then rejoin to get to IKEA so she doesn't get tagged by the ANPR car park nazis on the drop off and doesn't mess herself up for her Costco look.

I can't believe TfW can keep naffing up the trains on home weekends - bloody inconvenient for the footie. SWMBO can't always be relied upon for a little shopping trip or just a look see. I understand they are doing the Metro thing, but they are working every night, surely retailers etc in Cardiff are feeling this a bit - I won't take the car into Cardiff centre anymore - its a lot less stressful on the train, and costs about the same as parking using a Friends and Family railcard as we normally drag the kids along.

being the "Old Git" that I am, when I was a lad back in the 60/70s British Rail or whatever they called them selves at the time used to run a football special down every valley and into Ninian Park Holt. I remember travelling up to Bargoed on a nine-carriage train where they could not get the whole train onto all of the platform in some stops  Surely at TFW is now supposed to be a totally WELSH based train company then bringing back the football specials would help with less people on the road and could be a win/win position, could make matches more accessible for fans :ayatollah:

Referee for South Wales derby announced

Josh Smith has been announced as the referee for Cardiff’s home game against Swansea this Saturday, April 2.

Smith comes from a long family line of referees, as he started officiating aged 14, following in the footsteps of his dad and grandfather, who refereed football and rugby league respectively.

He oversaw the first game back in the EFL after Covid, the League Two play-off semi-final between Colchester United and Exeter City. Smith was appointed to the ‘select group two’ of match officials ahead of the 2020-21 season.

He has refereed Cardiff twice so far this season, in a 3-2 EFL Cup win against Sutton United and a 1-0 league loss to Bournemouth at home. This campaign, he has handed out 131 yellow cards and four reds in a total of 34 matches.

He will be assisted by Ian Cooper and Sam Lewis, while Dean Whitestone will be the fourth official for the South Wales derby.

Looks like they're now selling block 517 which, I think, was the last one to be released. Unless they are holding back other parts of the ground looks like only around 800 under capacity at the moment based on the map on the ticket website.

Has anyone got more of an insight ? I'm surprised it's jumped up so quickly if that is right.

Probably people starting to get their 'attendance' figures up ahead of season tickets being released and Gareth Bales arrival at the club...???? ;) :laughing6:

Seriously, I know the club release block by block, so it might be a little misleading. However, we understand that sales are well in excess of original estimates and are currently in excess of c.27,000+
