IT'S NOT CLOSING DOWN!

The lease has been bought by John Bassett who owns The Queens Vaults, Pantmawr, Golden Lion (Penarth), Friendly Fox (Newport) amongst others. He's putting Sky TV in this week on multiple screens, as his other pubs have and it will be fully under his control in time for the Millwall game on Saturday.

Those who drink in his Newport pubs (and the Pantmawr) will have a free bus laid on to and from home games direct to the Ninian as will those that drink in The Lion in Penarth. This bus scheme will be up and running for the Norwich game. He has also been sold the bookies as part of his take over. The Ninian is going nowhere.

im confused now

Tom that's my post from the Facebook page. As I've said in the other thread all the info is direct from Jon himself over a pint on Friday evening. The take over has taken longer than he anticipated but it's been done.

Ok mate. i know mate. i spoke to mall yesterday at ipswich and he said that it was closing down though.. thats why im confused over it all

He is a good guy and will make the pub, look out for great value food and Carling prob around £2-05

Annis Mal told me on saturday it was closing down, this is why im confused of whats happening.

can assure everyone that the Ninian Park WILL be open on Saturday for the Millwall game.

The tenancy has been taken over by JWBassett pubs and bars and I will be the new manager for the Ninian Park.

This is not a short term deal. There are no plans for the Ninian to be replaced with flats. I wouldn't be leaving the Queens Vaults if it was

The pub will be shut from Tuesday until 5pm on Friday to allow for the install of HD tv's and a general spruce up.

Anyone who has visited the Queens Vaults, The Lion or any of Jon's other pubs will know what we do. Great Food, Great Beer Great Prices.

There will be a shuttle service running from The Friendly Fox in Newport, The Pantmawr, The Golden Lion and The Queens Vaults for all weekend games starting with the Norwich home game.
