‘ New Cardiff City Sponsors ‘

I was told today that Cardiff Steele last season tried to Sponsor Cardiff City and that next season they have already put a very good offer in.

Be interesting to see what happens?

Does anyone know what our sponsors Malaysia pay every season?

For the first couple of years of 'Visit Malaysia' I think it was a paid for sponsorship by the Malaysian Tourist Board. After that it was just an invitation from Vincent to go and spend money in his Malaysian empire. Samecwith Berjaya.

I’m guessing this is one of the ways owners can subsidise the club without falling foul of FFP ?

Any experts on here that confirm that ?

Owners can't be linked to the sponsorship,ie owning the company .

Interesting. But would Tan be linked to “Visit Malaysia” ? He may get an indirect benefit from Malaysia I suppose.

Would welcome a new sponsor logo on the shirt front.

Especially one designed properly that doesn't make the shirt cheap and nasty.

Tan apparently pays out of his own pocket for the sponsorship.
So I guess it's actually a good move to cover costs with FFP

Initially the stadium naming rights were tied in to the deal with Sam, now that everything has been resolved on that front do you think a major sponsor will come in for naming rights?

Not sure he does ,I remember some people in the Malaysian government not happy with the amount paid .
