Not an 'egg' song at all; it's Welsh institution, which was 'hi-Jacked' in a similar way to Men of Harlech at our end... ;)

Never sure why it's an issue; parricularly as ('Jack Army' apart) it's the only song to which they know all the words to the chorus...! ;)

Regardless of who you follow when wales play we’re all one. Whilst we’re on the topic of songs being sung on Thursday I don’t think it gets as good as this (anthem aside) makes you incredibly proud to be Welsh.

Its about England v Wales at Twickenham, so I find your reasoning not altogether convincing Sven.. its a good song no doubt, just think its for egg.

It's a Max Boyce song about a coach trip to Twickenham. Sounds about as eggy as you can get.

I felt the same. Its not even the song of the old real rugby fans, more song of the daffodil heads etc who only attend internationals and don't know the words of the more traditional songs.

City fans used to sing it in the 70's.

I stand corrected. I went to most of the home games but didn't go to any away games that season as I was living in Aberystwyth. I still regret not going to Bury for the last game of the season. Preferred to stay in bed. Lazy f***ing student!!
