If it happens would be interesting if all home countries qualify automatically? And will they play at home... :old:

We’ll still end up having to travel to Baku

What's the chances of us providing two stadiums especially if the teams involved is increased to 32.

Cardiff will surely then be perfect to host a group.

Also, nothing against Eire but why were they included in the bid?

It looks like we get to host by default but had there been rivals surely a UK only bid would have had more chance.

Unfortunately I can see this being the “England + others” tournament. 8 or 9 English stadiums then 1 stadium from each of the remaining countries.

Final and semi finals at Wembley. UEFA might treat us with a Quarter Final at the Millennium Stadium.

I’m guessing NI can’t provide any stadiums (18k being the biggest football stadium). So maybe Dublin will be considered as the Ireland and NI host city.
Politically it would be a mess to do a “UK tournament” and exclude NI.

Just a guessing though.

That all makes sense.

I suppose N.Ireland could have expanded Windsor Park but would probably be a waste of money after the tournament was finished.

Excluding England, I do hope the other nations as a whole supply half the stadia between them.

Otherwise it will just be seen as an English based tournament.

There are four stadia over 40k in Scotland, two in Wales and two in Ireland if they use Croke Park. That should cover half the stadiums needed.

Ibrox, Hampden, Murrayfield and the San Giro are all over 50k.

Yep.

Was just quoting the smallest size that UEFA allow. ie 30k.

Just hoping that all governing bodies are given equal footing in this bid IF the infrastructure allows it.

Let's hope there is an increase to 32 teams so the stadia may need to be 12 instead of 10.

Probably testing the water for future treatment bearing in mind the tournament is 6 years away.

They should be sanctioned well beyond the end of this war unless there is a change of regime.
