Jordan Hugill ?

Chances of signing Hugill back on loan next season?

The Norwich City striker made a big initial impact in front of goal, scoring 2 in 11 appearances for the Bluebirds.

While the goals have dried up, his importance to the side cannot be underestimated. His hold-up play is first class, while his control and link-up play have allowed Cardiff to affect things further up the pitch. He has also chipped in with a couple of assists, too.

His all-round game has ensured Kieffer Moore's departure to Bournemouth was not really felt too badly, which is exactly why he was brought in.

Following yet another defeat for Norwich City at the weekend, there is little doubt they will be a Championship team next season. They sit bottom of the Premier League with little to no hope of staying up now.

Hugill is a very good Championship striker and it is incredibly likely he will form part of Dean Smith's forward line next season.

After all, Cardiff could not afford to buy him and it would be an odd decision for Norwich to loan him out to a Championship rival, one would think.

His wages would also likely prove prohibitive, too, with Cardiff looking to trim the bill and sign an army of players this summer.

Chances of signing next season : 4/10

I'd love to have him here next season but I just can't see it happening financially.

I'm guessing he's on £30k a week and we'd have to pay a pretty decent fee so probably a non-starter

May not get a hatful of goals but his hold up play gives us so much more than that.

I suppose all we can hope is that Dean Smith doesn't fancy him for Norwich, they decide to cut their wage bill and Hugill decides this is where he wants to be

I'd love it to happen ............................ but can't see it.

He's one of the players that we really miss when he's not playing imo

Great all round player who has fitted in seamlessly….makes such a difference when he plays.

Not sure he’s on that much.

Isn’t 25% of his wage less than our under 23s?

Of course I jest.

Agree. Unless Tan gives a sufficient budget to Morison in the summer then signing him is a pipe dream. But no fee might help us afford him?
