‘ Cardiff City player signs extended contract ‘

Oliver Denham 20 yrs old in 2 months ,is a Manchester United Academy player who was released in 2020. The Bluebirds signed Denham up and today have extended his contract.

We're delighted to announce that Oliver Denham has signed a new contract with Cardiff City Football Club.

The young defender's new agreement will run until June 2024.

Denham has made two appearances for our First Team thus far, including a stellar outing in the Emirates FA Cup at Anfield in early February in his first competitive start. He's been involved in every senior 18-man squad since that fixture.

Speaking about his new deal, Oliver said: "I'm very happy. It shows all of the hard work since I've been here has paid off.

"I'm still a young lad and I know I still need to develop. I'm learning every day.

"I'm really excited for the future."

Denham began his career as a youth player with Manchester United before signing for Cardiff City in September 2020.

He made his professional debut for the side as a substitute in place of Sean Morrison during a 2–0 defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion in the EFL Cup on 24 August 2021.

Denham was given his first start in an FA Cup fixture against Liverpool on 6th February, 2022 due to Sean Morrison missing out from injury he sustained against Barnsley F.C.

I didn't realise he is still only 19.

Given his age that's a sensible contract, we'll know over the 12-18 months whether he's going to make it but I hope he does.

McGuinness, Denham and Ng could be our future at CB.

Born in England , so far played as a Welsh youth international.
