Away Days on YouTube

Mon Mar 07, 2022 10:06 am

Some good content coming out on the City youtube channel lately - the first time I've seen one of these "away days" videos.

I think I remember hearing someone say Steve Morrison was insisting that they put better content out on socials to help engage with fans better :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

Just seen it and well worth a look :thumbright:

Great highlights of the QPR win and I hadn't noticed the two part role Aden Flint played in the goal...

Firstly, his standing in front of David Marshall as he tried to organise his wall; and secondly his crafty run across the box as the free kick was about to be taken. It must have had an effect, as from the 'behind Colwill' angle, he can clearly be seen momentarily blocking David Marshall just as it was taken

Steve Morison is right; it can only be a positive going forward... :ayatollah:

Makes it more inclusive instead of being on the outside looking in. :ayatollah:

It will help to win over the younger generation too, important moving forward.

On another thread someone said that Marshall had ignored the call to do the ayatollah, but he appeared to do it at the start of the vid, even if it was a bit muted, obviously not wanting to upset the home fans.

I saw the highlights and Flint is excellent on this free kick. Blocking Marshall's sight and then running across the wall leaving a gap for Colwill's precision strike. Looked like it's been rehearsed many times in training. Definitly a bit of Whitts in that strike too, perfect.
