MY VIEW / OPINION

TWO OF CARDIFF'S OWN PUT PROMOTION HOPEFUL QPR TO THE SWORD / ISAAK DAVIES & RUBIN COLWILL SCORE THE GOALS THAT VIRTUALLY SECURE CARDIFF CITY CHAMPIONSHIP STATUS & SHOW CARDIFF HAVE SOME YOUNG CLASS PLAYERS FOR NEXT SEASON :bluebird: :bluebird:

Absolutely brilliant 3 away points by the Bluebirds :bluebird: :bluebird:

Steve Morison's playing now with a relaxed team and showing we can compete with teams higher up in the league :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

FIRST-HALF: QPR could of been at least 3 nil up, Cardiff lucky to go in at 1nil down.

QPR possession 78% Cardiff possession 22%

SECOND-HALF: Cardiff's youngsters Isaak & Colwill score the goals that get the 3pts after Cardiff improve vastly from the first-half and over all deserve the 3pts :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

QPR 2 CARDIFF CITY 1 :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
H-T 1-0
Crowd
Away Support. 1,493

Cardiff City: Smithies; Ng, Flint, McGuiness; Drameh, Wintle, Ralls, Vaulks, Doughty; Hugill, Colwill.

Subs: Phillips, Bagan, Ikpeazu, Pack, King, Davies, Denham.

GOAL! QPR 1-0 Cardiff City (Gray 38)
Goal for QPR.

Odubajo whipped in a dangerous cross and Ng can only get a foot on it, but it spills into a dangerous area and Andre Gray belts it home from six yards out.

Almost a second!

Chair was found with a long ball forward and Cardiff are carved open. He lays off Wallace inside the area but Smithies saves well from a tight angle.

Willock danced through the middle and lets off a shot, but it's off McGuinness and wide.

The resultant corner is cleared and that spells the end of the first half.

H-T 1-0

56th min: Double change.

Isaak Davies on for Will Vaulks.

Joel Bagan on for Alfie Doughty.

GOAL! QPR 1-1 Cardiff City (Davies 70) :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
GOAL! Isaak Davies!

Brilliant run down the left, cuts inside and blasts it at Marshall, who spoons it up in the air and over the line. The ref points at his watch and it's a goal!

1-1 - Cardiff level.

GOAL! QPR 1-2 Cardiff City (Colwill 75) :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:
GOAL! Colwill!

Free-kick 20 yards out and he drills it into the top corner! What a crisp strike. Cardiff turn it around in five minutes! 2-1 to the Bluebirds. 15 left to play.

Ikpeazu on for Hugill.

First half they battered us and I could see why they're fighting at the top of the table.

But second half was very good from us. Credit to Steve Morison for making attacking substitutions to get the three points.

A brilliant result.

It wasn't pretty but it was certainly effective. We didn't just hold on after going ahead either which is good.

I thought when we wet down 1-0 it was going to be one of those games where our opponents didn't to get out of 2nd gear.

I was not too sure about the subs for the 2nd half but I'm glad to be proved wrong. Its great to see us have a bit of luck and get the 3 points from going a goal behind. We are definitely safe now.

We do seem to be a team of two halves, one bad and one good.As long as the good out scores the bad :occasion5:

Well done Steve Morison for taking Vaulks off and keeping Colwill on, but he should never have started in the first place and surely he cannot be given a new contract as he does nothing for the team. Today confirmed just how poor he is at this level.
