Derby manager Wayne Rooney said:
"We had a lot of control of the game. We really made it difficult for Cardiff to have any impact on the game, but we didn't take our chances.
"We got punished for not taking the chances. We got punished for going to ground when we got fouled [in the lead-up to the goal]. We got punished by the officials.
"I can't say too much. It's the truth. It's not acceptable, some of the decisions. Are we getting punished because no-one expects us to stay in the division?
"We are still fighting. We will keep going until the end."

I think he needs to take another look !!
There was no foul in the build up or in the way Uche out muscled Davies. Even the Sky pundits agreed on that one, I just watched it back !!!

A lot of Derby fans up here say we were there for the taking last night. They are very frustrated and claimed the team did not go for it.
For me they have a point but look very nervous. When they attacked there were one or two of them holding back instead of getting into the box. When they finally had their chance the luck was against them. Its was a good cross that just needed a head to it. There was nothing more than Ravel Morrison could do better, he headed it down and got some power behind it. The save by Smithies was blind and 9 times out of 10 would have ended it the net. Somehow it reflected off the post but fell to their main striker who basically fluffed it. You could see after that they knew they had blown it.
Personally I thought our winner had a bit of luck with it. If it was any other defender than Curtis they would have gone down and the ref would have given the free kick. Fair play to the Derby defender he did not do that but it must be a sickening blow to Derby's season that. However and overall it was a well taken goal.
Derby have a huge game Saturday and its going to be very difficult for Rooney to prepare his team for it after that.

Yes it seems after the Smithies save, they visibly shrunk and we woke up and took the game to them. Fair play to Uche he bullied Davies, which to be fair is not an easy thing to do.

They huffed and puffed first half but did play some good football but never scored. Just look at the Hudds game where they had a bit of luck and got the winner, we had a bit of luck on our side this game but when fighting at the bottom i dont really give a f**k as long as we get the three points lol

Some strange comments here, there is no luck when they have an attempt at goal and our keeper saves it?
We had 14 shots to their 9, we had 4 on target to their 1, and 2 that didn't count as on target hit the bar, the best attacking team won, the stats prove it no question about it?
