Cardiff boss Steve Morison has defended Perry Ng amid the "pathetic" actions of Fulham's Ivan Cavaleiro on Saturday.

The Cottagers man went down after colliding with the Bluebirds defender, with Morison's opposite number Marco Silva gesturing to the fourth official that Ng had used an elbow in the altercation.

Morison took umbrage with that and spoke his mind post match when asked about the incident.

"Their manager was kicking off,” said Morison.

“Come on, let’s get it right. I have watched it back 10 times and Perry Ng has brushed him. It’s pathetic.

“It was handbags. We were on the attack on the halfway line and they pulled it back for a player who was in danger, apparently. That decision was just ridiculous.”

Aleksandar Mitrovic's goal was the difference at Cardiff City Stadium as the Bluebirds went down to back-to-back defeats.

Whether it was a foul or not is open to debate. What was shocking was the ref who hadn't seen the incident, stopping the game with 30 seconds left when we were attacking and Fulham out of position on that side of the pitch. And then restarting with a drop ball with every Fulham player behind the ball.
