Van Dijk clearly blocked off James and was offside. Right decision.

Another player can be in offside position and goal can be scored as long as he does not make move for ball or interfere with an opponent .. in this case van dyke tried to get ball and stopped player from reaching ball offside on both accounts.. even though someone else scored

Worth disallowing the goal just for the comical impact of getting to see Kepa coming on 30 seconds before extra time ended, not saving a single penalty and sending his penalty flying over the bar.

He was active because he was offside, blocked the player so he was interfering with play.

It's a bit of a nonsense rule though. It was offside because it was a foul but it wouldn't have been a foul in its own right or indeed offside. If ithat was a foul then you'd 4 or 5 penalties at every corner whilst having 4 or 5 free kicks t the defence. Everton penalty claim at the end of last nights game. Not decisive enough was the decision - completely subjective which is what I thought VAR would get rid of. I am generally still in favour.

Very odd considering mendy played exceptionally well during game. But suspect it was planned b 4 game as kepa good penalty stopper.. unfortunately went tits up for them

Wasnt given as foul given because he interfered with defender and attempted to get ball so was active in the laws of offside....one good thing about the decision it was actually the refs as it should be.

Agree with OP, game has gone. Precision sucks enjoyment out, and I’d rather the error.
