Left it a bit late. Was this because of something on QPR’s end or ours?

On this I don’t know,
But it’s 99% of the time usually us late.
We have great staff, but NO where near enough foot soldiers as we say, to many chiefs.
Still 9 days before , so that should not stop anyone going.

This is a brilliant example of the madness and stupidity that City have created. We can't man the ticket office properly for the sake of a extra couple of members of staff say 50k per annum for 2. Yet we pay players over a million pounds a year to play we find the money for that, we find money to settle contracts for lazy b*stard s like Tomlin and millions for people who never even play like vassell. Let's get the basics right and our priorities as well. The savings made on having a couple of extra staff are irrelevant in scheme of our costs everywhere else.

looking forward to this trip, going up on Friday morning with two of my sons, making a weekend of it and coming back on the Monday as my one son is also celebrating his 25th birthday so hopefully a good display and thre ‘birthday points’

I have never understood why we just don't ring each club at the start of the season and agree a reciprocal pricing structure for each game. If QPR want £34 the we charge £34, if Huddersfield say its a long way lets charge each others away fans a fiver then lets do it.

Isn't there some rule about only being able to charge away fans what you charge your own which is why ours are so cheap. QPR are at London prices so that would explain how they get away with it.
The EFL should be setting a maximum price for away fans not the clubs charging ridiculous amounts.

Yep. We can’t charge more than an equivalent view in the home end (Canton/Ninian corner). The other more expensive clubs have no incentives to lower their prices to match ours and to match theirs we’d need to bump up prices for home fans too.
I believe we used to have a deal with Reading where we’d charge the same as eachother but that’s the only club I know of it happening with us.

Quite disappointing that in the PL Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U, etc can only charge up to £30 max for away tickets but the likes of Bristol, QPR, Sheffield Wednesday, etc can charge more than that.

Totally agree.
And maybe we should have had a policy of long term injury players helping out in the ticket office. That might helped some of the wasters we had on our books over the last few years get back to fitness a bit quicker
