Cardiff manager Steve Morison told BBC Radio Wales: "For 80 minutes, it was the perfect away performance, then they get their moment after a mistake at the death and we lose the game.
"We're doing really well. I'm really pleased with the boys. The result is all that matters - I totally get that.
"They [Huddersfield] are on a really good run and it was really disappointing we didn't manage to end that run because I felt like we could have done. They weren't really hurting us - they had a lot of the ball but didn't get many chances.
"We can be proud of our showing tonight. The whole team can build on that."
