Tomlin it’s a No at Non League Wrexham, so Tomlin has now put himself out their as a manager/ player.

Lee Tomlin after four and a half years at Cardiff City where he only started 36 games, scoring 10 goals and his career continued to be surrounded by problems on and of the pitch has failed to get get a playing contract at non league Wrexham.

Tomlin was believed to be on well over £20,000 a week for the Bluebirds in over four and a half years.

Tomlins whole career at different clubs has always ended in disappointment, yet Tomlin was one of the most gifted players seen at Cardiff for many a year.

Tomlin had the class but failed to have the right attitude and club after club were let down.

Tomlin's Wrexham move looking unlikely as he cheekily bids for manager's job

Former Cardiff player Lee Tomlin looks unlikely to join National League side Wrexham.

Tomlin, who left City by mutual consent back in October, had been training with the Reds last week, with boss Phil Parkinson running the rule over whether a move for the 33-year-old could be struck.

However, it seems the two parties have struggled to come to an agreement.

"The Lee Tomlin deal hasn't progressed and is unlikely to," said manager Parkinson.

Tomlin hasn't played a competitive game for over a year, but does seem keen on a return to football.

He has even seemingly thrown his hat into the ring for the vacant managerial position at AFC Rushden and Diamonds, the latest incarnation of the club where Tomlin started his career.
