Closer to the play-offs than relegation.

Wed Feb 16, 2022 12:52 pm

Is it possible with the latest form we are in ,to close the gap and have a cheeky playoff bid ? Or are the games running out ? .

We could have 30 games left and still be nowhere near the play offs.

Yes we have improved, but to even mention the word playoffs is pure fantasy.

If we had 30 games left and the form under Morison we would be close to the playoffs, admittedly I think we will end up mid table but I really think we will be only a couple of wins off the playoffs if current form keeps up ,which from where we were under big mick would be a great achievement for Morison

There are 13 clubs above us from a play off spot and only one club below us from a relegation spot.

Where you any good at Maths in school?

Closer in terms of points haha.

Probably need 13 wins from 15 to make it. Obviously not going to happen , top half should be the aim now

How’s yours?

We are now outside the relegation zone whatever points deductions are on other teams. We aren’t actually far from what Derby’s actual total would be.

Lucky to avoid relegation you said didn’t you?

There are 13 teams above us of which most will play each other. Therefore they will take points of each other. If you apply the principles of Choice and Chance then look up the logarithms you will soon discover we stand no chance of a play off stop. However, the same principles applied to winning no more point will relegate us.

Even you should be able ot work that out with your thumb and fingers.

Well I was going to use Vectors (speed and direction) supported by Cosine, Sine and TANgents.
