Morison/Ralls

Wed Feb 16, 2022 9:57 am

I don't understand Morisons comment Iv been able to rest Ralls for the 90mins WHY? "it's not as if Ralls has over done it lately only played in 2 matches over the last few weeks. Wintle has run himself into the ground in midfield. So had Doyle but he was brought on So what's all the Teachers pet with Ralls? Hope we are not carrying another passenger like Tomlin. As for Morisons actions regarding Watters he could have waited until half time not make the boy look an idiot. MORISON is getting to big for his boots how many more players is he going to make a fool of? He needs to go on a course on how to treat people because he hasent a clue on people's feelings .I thought he was doing a good job but if he carries on hitting more players below the belt he won't last long in Management.

Absolute drivel. Stopped reading half way through

You have zero idea what's going on in training, what the fitness levels are, any knocks or minor injuries.

Absolute loon

If a player is not fit to play then he should not be on the bench.

We won 2-0

It wasn’t that long ago we were losing 5-0

I’ll trust his judgement. It’s a tough league with a relentless pace. We need fresh legs and we need to give other guys a chance to develop in to the team and gain experience.

Bacuna is has clearly fallen from favour. Pack isn’t mobile enough for the way we are playing so bring king in to rest ralls was a good move.

I though vaulks had one of his best games for city in a very long time too.

So I’ll happily give the manager his dues and trust him to manage the team as he sees fit.

“Should’ve waited till half time” ridiculous comment. Everyone in the ground knew were second best all over the pitch until 37 minutes.

Ralls is obviously carrying some sort of injury at the moment as is not 100% fit

As for Watters his substitution was harsh on him and he didn’t take it well

However, you could tell he was upset which means he cares. Hopefully he will learn from this.
He is a goal poacher with some definite ability but his overall game is not good enough at the moment. He needs to knuckle down and learn from people like Hugill.

There’s a decent player there of that I have no doubt

Agree mate. Too many people on here happy to knock at slightest opportunity

If we were second best all over the pitch why was Watters the one to take all the stick? I do not agree that the Manager should openly have a go at certain players seems just the younger ones get it. We were left with the idea that Bellamy was the bully at Cardiff City. Morison seems to be doing a good job at it. Iv been a City fan over 60 years but never seen a City Manager openly criticise his players before but Morison has made a habit of it I wonder who's next on his list

Iv just read a review on the match from Sol Bamber so he's wrong as well is he,? Morison needs to change his attitude and quickly

Like I've said elswhere.I'm glad we've got a manager that doesn't wait till we're 1-0 down before making a change.Ralls isn't 100%.There was alot to like about Eli King too and given the right exposure will come on in time, same with Colwill. And did it escaped your notice that it seem to work for Issac Davies.I don't want any snowflke players as it seems we've got more than enough fans.

Perhaps he should apologise to the players for his behaviour and beg forgiveness. Why should he "change his attitude and quickly" if his team has accrued 12 out of 15 League points and in all probability ended all fears of relegation ?

We’re in a relegation scrap so Morison has to do whatever it takes to gets results. Makes a change when we’re poor before ht and ends up deserving winners 2-0. I don’t remember Mourhino getting criticised for making subs first half, and I’m sure it happens at lower levels as well. I felt sorry for Watters, especially sitting on his own like he did, I thought that was bad craic by the rest of the squad to leave him there but he’ll either man up, take it and improve or crumble and end up in the lower leagues, his choice. Anyone can get criticised by their managers for poor performance in any line of work, the difference here is that there were 18k witnesses who could see it and the manager gets asked about it by the press. Morison wasn’t personal, just didn’t like what he was seeing by a player who’s coached full time to reach a certain level of performance.

As to why he picks on some and not others, (we all know Bacuna would get slaughtered after every game) maybe it’s because he knows he’ll get a positive response from Watters whereas Bacuna couldn’t give a f**k (30k a week keeps taking the money). I don’t know Morison, never met him, but I wouldn’t think he’s a bully, more he’s just giving the youngsters some harsh truths, Isaac Davies a great example.

Many around me, including myself, wanted Watters off after 15 mins never mind 30 odd.

The whole shape was being threatened by him not chasing down the channels or closing the defenders down allowing them to dictate,

Morison and the coaches were screaming at him to close down and he didn’t. You ignore this manager at your peril.

Morison was strong in making the tough decision when he needed to make it.

Thankfully we’re a long way past the Warnock/McCarthy days when there was a law that there would be no subs until 60 mins was up !!! That’s a slight exaggeration but you know what I mean !!

Maybe Morison may have to tone down his press interviews but isn’t it refreshing to have an honest, unsanitised answer from a manager for a change ?

He’s passionate and I’m warming to him week by week.

There’s no rule to say you can’t make a substitution during the first half and just as a substitute may only play the last 35 minutes, what’s the problem with a starter playing the first 35 minutes. Football is moving on tactically, check the first ever formations in an international match if you don’t believe me.

Its about time some of them were told as it is and man up and take it like a man. Then do what Isaak Davies has done and put all his effort into improving what he's been told and get a chance of making a decent career out of something they love doing.

Just because Sol Bamba says something it doesn't mean that somebody else can't disagree.

There's no guarantee Bamba will ever be, or make it as, a manager and the fact that he is such a nice bloke is the thing that raises the biggest question against him and that summary of the incident re-emphasises that.

Being tough on players has to be done in moderation but Mourinho has made a decent career out of it
