‘ Ramsey remembers Bluebirds debut ‘

Aaron Ramsey referenced his Bluebirds bow after making his first Rangers start yesterday.

Wales star Ramsey was named in the starting XI for the Ibrox club's Scottish Cup clash with Annan Athletic at Galabank, which the away side won 3-0.

Ramsey got an hour under his belt before being replaced, and speaking to Premier Sports after the match, Ramsey compared his Light Blues bow to the one he made for his boyhood club back in 2008.

Back then a 17-year-old Ramsey scored in a 3-1 win over Chasetown in the FA Cup third round.

"The conditions were a bit of a test in the first half, but it was good to be back out there," he said.

"I thought we did a good job today.”

My first start for Cardiff was Chasetown away so it was pretty similar, but the conditions in the first half were a bit of a test.

"Very windy, rain coming straight into the face, but we did a good job in the end and we're into the next round."

I guy earning mega bucks rolled up his sleeves and got stuck in against a lower league Scottish club, on a terrible plastic pitch in horrendous weather. No complaints no condescension, he’s certainly no prima-donna.
