‘ Sam Bowen ‘

Thu Feb 10, 2022 11:02 am

One of supposedly Cardiff’s brightest stars was going out on loan to Newport last month, but his injury he sustained a while make he still needed more treatment.

Hearing that County will be signing him permanently this Summer??

Steff,

I can’t say to much, but I was on the plane back this morning with someone and very important and I was told a number of younger ones are not rated by Morison.

Morison is honest about it.

That's good to hear, I think we're gradually seeing who is there already, who needs a bit more time and who isn't going to make it at this level.

For instance, I thought Isaac Davies was going to need more time but he's come on very rapidly.

Morison will know them better then anyone.

Even if we only get Davies, Denham, Colwill and, possibly, Bagan out of this crop that's a pretty good return.

A few are possibly leaving; Patten, Evans, Zimba, Bowen to mention a few :ayatollah:

The only one I would have thoughts about keeping from that lot is Patten. Looks a good CM player to me and we don't have much cover for the role Wintle is now doing so well.

Maybe Morison doesn't think he's going to develop enough.

Bowen has looked good when he has played for us, or am I imagining that?

As with all young players a loan spell with regular 1st team football would not do him any harm.

I don't even think the Leader knew how good or not they were. He's not like Sam, not at all the youth and under '21' games, taking an interest on the whole club.

All the Leader knew was that they were bodies that could be put Into a team irrespective of how good they were allowing him to decimate our squad at will meaning he could run us at a pittance due to their low wages.

Honest question... can you expand on how 'Wintle is doing so well'. I believe he is being quietly effective and doing a job he is being asked to do.

I don't believe he is class, but not many of any CCFC players are nowadays. He wont change a game or control it.

Credit to him however he is now part of a team which is bonding a little and at the moment deserves to keep his place.

When we see the quality of Premier League young reserves like Cody Drameh and Tommy Doyle they are a different class. It is youngster like this we should be looking to pick up. Drameh will make the Leeds team but don't think Doyle will ever get into the Man City team. So we have to get the likes of Drameh on loan and try to sign on a permanent basis the likes of Doyle. :bluebird:

Seriously, have a day off like. Sam almost ruined us financially. He's gone. Get over it.
