‘ Latest on Tan v Michael Isaac Court case ‘

VINCENT TAN v MICHAEL ISAAC

Was adjourned once again and are chatting out of court.

1 week adjourned.

If not resolved starts again next week.

I have always said I expect Tan to easily win this case.

Apparently Isaac wants to and will show how his shared devalued badly through how bad our club has been run.

I still expect him to lose.

But very interesting they are now talking outside court.

Annis, tell me if I'm wrong, but didn't Isaac go into his investment belueving he would make the proverbial 'killing', the same as Paul Guy and the rugby player...?

Either way, it's in the small print that it says 'investments can go up as well as down'

Just seems like sour grapes to me...

That’s how I remember it Chris. Wasn’t it Mike Hall?

Wasn't he charging a high rate interest on a loan to the Bluebirds?

Yes an astronomical amount if I remember correctly.

Yes you are spot on Chris.

And none of them were City fans, yet Media made out they were.

I can only see him losing.

I have lost a lot on my shares in Cardiff City, but that’s how shares work.

Yes and Mike Hall.

Hall and Guy made fortunes out of our club and NO one says a thing.

Proper egg fans as well.

Pretty standard for them to be given an opportunity to talk because of the costs implications once a trial starts.

The judge may have given an indication of how this will pan out and therefore it gives an opportunity for them to say it was settled amicably even though one side may have won but then saves on costs for both side.

I can vaguely remember chants of there’s only one Michael Isaac going up once at ninian park. Must have been because of the rubbish the media were putting out, as if he was the saviour of the club

From what I remember - allegedly Isaac was pulling the same trick as another well known city investor. Loaning the club money (probably not his own money) and then charging massive amounts of interest on it. So he could 1. Pay back the people he loaned it from 2. Make a killing on the interest payments.

Why the club could just go and borrow the money from a bank ? - or maybe it is seem by 'owners' and investors as a very easy and convenient way to make money - by ripping off the club and fans they allege to be a supporters of.
