‘ Should be a bumper crowd ‘

Tue Feb 08, 2022 7:38 am

Massive game:

Peterborough home.

Pay on the night.

We have to go for the three points.

Should be a bumper home crowd, way bigger than the Liverpool game and fans can turn up and thank them for a brilliant display up at Anfield and now we are playing more of our younger ones , fans can turn up and support them.

For me Cardiff win this and we can Concentrate on playing more if our younger players and bringing them through and give them experience for next season.

Looking forward to tomorrow night .

Annis, youre completely right. I'm looking forward to this one far more than Sunday.
The difference is, like you, I'm a fan and I see the importance of the game, as do around 17K others.I can't see Peterborough bringing more than 2-300 tbh so I'm afrain it'll be 17,500ish imo. :bluescarf:

I agree with all that, but I'm not too hopeful we will get a decent crowd but we certainly deserve it and it's these types of games that a good crowd can really make a difference. To be honest this is where I actually think our tickets are too cheap. It's no big deal for a father and son to say "We won't bother tonight" on a week night as it is probably less than a tenner per game for the kid on a season ticket. I never let my poor daughter miss a game as I was too tight

I'll guarantee the Family Stand will be very sparsely populated tomorrow

I think the game will be tight and very much like the Barnsley game, I just hope we've learnt from that and get on the front foot early and play the way we can and not the way Peterborough want us to.

Won't be a bumper crowd cardiff fans are fickle ,we are at the bottom of the table ,probably be 18k there ,which is still good seeing the position we are in.

I dont quite understand the obsession with the size if the crowd. Its not as if it will mean more money will be spent on better players. And an extra couple of thousand wont make much difference to the result.

I 'll be coming down from mid wales to make up the numbers but familys won't go on a school night but if it was a replay with liverpool it would be 33,000 but sadly i think we will be lucky to get to 16,000
Hoping at least the canton "should" we packed
but even thats looking a lot thinner these days
the forrest game was' nt packed out and the red button is keeping lots away but the players cannot here you at home they are playing for your city
in your city on the night.

Exactly, We would of got 33,000 tomorrow night and NO one would of out the usual excuses up.

Lots of other clubs struggling, their fans seem to be turning up in big numbers.

But they're not though. Championship crowds significantly down on 2 yrs ago - even gaps in the stands of the PL clubs.

Clubs like Derby ,Ipswich, Sunderland all been struggling now for years all getting 20,000 plus home crowds , sell out away support , yet they have been struggling.

The time to support your club is when they are struggling as they need your support more than ever .

I will be their tomorrow night, hopefully 20,000 others.
It would of been 32,000 if it had been Liverpool.

Yes it would have been a packed house for Liverpool that’s how football works people want to come and see the big clubs and it will never change The demand for tickets when a Liverpool or Man utd turn up will always increase Even when liverpool play Nan U the demand for tickets rocket in comparison to other games If either ground could fill 100k then it would fill up but it would not for teams like Cardiff turning up

Stop having a dig our crowd was same as Bristol city and bigger than QPR v Boro which was top of the table clash .on par with the rest of this division.

I would expect if you took off away fans ( would have been a decent following from Reading at Ashton Gate) our home attendance would have been bigger than Bristol’s

Mike,

Please state where I am having ago? Just was expecting a bigger crowd and was expecting South Wales to rally around in such an important game.

But those who attended can hold their heads up high, the atmosphere from the first 2nd was first class and the amount who stayed behind to clap them off, was brilliant :thumbright:

I have nothing but praise for those that attend.

And yes i saw you v Posh and YOU YOURSELF SLATED OUR SUPPORT TO ME
