‘ Joel Bagan ‘

Joel Bagan started against Liverpool yesterday and made a good account of himself.

Bagan who will be 21 years old this season is a player that came through Southamptons Accademy and was released and Cardiff City signed him up.



The defender enjoyed a loan spell with Notts County towards the end of season 2019-20, before joining up with the Bluebirds' first-team setup for 2020/21.

Bagan has made 17 first team appearances for the Bluebirds and is contracted to Cardiff till June 2023.

Hope he keeps his place thought the lad did well tried bombing on down the wing also yes he needs a bit more power and strengths and his confidence will come and natural left footer like joe bennet he will obviously drop the odd b.llock but vaulks drops about 5 every game and even experienced pack with his playing backwards game
at least bagan knows which direction we are playing

Appears to have some ability but looks a bit frail to me.

I'm not convinced yet, but I certainly can't fault him on Sunday's performance.

I worry about his positioning more than anything. He does seem to get himself the wrong side of his man too often but I suppose that can be worked on so let's hope his time out of the side has given him the time he needed to make those improvements.

I am not convinced either if he is Championship quality? ? ?

Seems to be improving as a defender but I feel he hasn't got that bit of pace that a wing back should have when attacking.

Great defender for a back 4. With wingback, I think I would rather NG there and Denham go into RCB but that is just my opinion

Yes, I think both of us share the same concerns about Bagan but he's definitely improving and that's what you look for most in these youngsters.

He'll have a few more games until Doughty is back so let's hope he builds on these last two performances.

Have to agree with Annis and say the jury is still out on him for me but he did well last night.
