Our first experience of VAR today and we have now already been robbed by it
Would love us to go up but today reminded me how bad the refereeing/VAR is in that league

It was like being back in the PL. Every 50 50, every tackle, every decision... if you were wearing red you got it... blue, no chance.
Not seen on telly yet. But the pen first half? Keepers foul? Thoughts?

Pen was debatable although if Harris was Jota i am sure it would have been given
If the goalie was an outfield player sending off all day long
VAR is pointless except for things that technoolgy can prove, otherwise its just interpretation.
No pressure, but for the money men at the FA the biggest international draw went out on Friday evening and to send the second biggest's goalie off is a no brainer.

Red Card all day for there keeper
Penalty for us as Harris got shuved
Disgraceful from the ENGLISH Premier League. Reminds us of how they kicked us out the 1st place with poor refereeing decisions costing us yet again. ITV turned down Cardiff fans singing in the 1st half. Overall a day to hate VAR Premier League AND Referees

Exactly as I seen it

Salah's penalty at the CCS. Less contact there than today's. Ralls sending off at Spurs, when the ref almost got his red card out before the challenge. Not much difference than todays goalkeepers challenge. Cardiff hardly mentioned in the summing up. Morison's interview cut short. Colwill's goal, arguably the best of the game, or at least as good as any of them, then the last shots of the ITV coverage was Liverpool's 3 goals. I wondered if I had dreamed up Colwill's goal. Thank God we won't be back in the premier league soon. I think I'd become paranoid again.

Sam we don't need to be in the English league, we have options.
No one gives a rats arse that four clubs in the football pyramid are Welsh

The goalie committed 2 offenses worthy of a sending off in that challenge. Definitely a reckless enough challenge in its own right and a clearly a foul preventing a clear goal scoring opportunity. Yes there was defensive cover but there would have been no goalie. Harris is definitely getting to that ball first and the goal is open. Iheanacho has just scored for Leicester in almost exactly that situation. In fact he was much wider and a much worse position.

Absolutely agree.
You just know that if the penalty and keeper incident had been the other way round they would have been given to Liverpool.
I'm sure that if VAR had been in place when we were last in the PL they would have found some way of saying the Chelsea goal at CCS was not offside!

Something that stood out was how few views each incident had - in the PL it feels like VAR is shown at least 3 times every incident, but only remember one viewing on both the penalty and the goalkeepers challenge (or at least only from one angle).
I can’t believe that the VAR didn’t at least refer it back to the ref for the goalkeeper one - there was more than enough in it to suggest a clear and obvious error. He was out of control and studs down the back of his leg so absolutely a sending off.
As for not being last man - he is a goalkeeper who was miles out of his area. If he hadn’t been that far out, Harris is heading down on goal. If the keeper is that far out and is taken down, then at worst Harris has one defender to beat who can’t use his hands. Sending off on this basis as well.
Penalty - Anywhere on the pitch that is given. If Flint does that on Jota it’s given.
