I’ve absolutely no problem with this as Peterborough on Wednesday is a far more important game imo

I agree - can't see past a 3 or 4-0 but as we know Wednesday is more important in the scheme of things. I just hope we don;t get hammered as it won't be good for confidence.

I get it, I really do, but I hate seeing us battered, especially live on TV. Especially after Plymouth and Kiddy have shown what van be achieved.
We play against one of the best sides in the world and we send out kids.
I'll happily apologise and eat humble pie if we keep the score respectable.
A little disservice to the 7000 of us who have travelled.
Sun Feb 06, 2022 11:16 am
Steve Morison said he was going to reward some of the younger players who have had to play during a difficult season before the loan signings came in, and he's been true to his word.
Got a lot of respect for that.
Sun Feb 06, 2022 11:16 am
Why bother to turn up at all. Why not just scrap the FA cup all together. Live on ITV and. Its not what people want to see. A Joke on Morisons part.
Sun Feb 06, 2022 11:22 am
Let me just add this....
Peterborough will come to us on the back of a very fine 2-0 win over a classy QPR. I was there, I saw them.
We will go into Wednesday's game on the back of what? 4,5,6.... possibly more loss.
Now then, what preparation for such a big game is that???
LIVID....

Spot on….we seem to have given the game up with that team ….looking at Liverpool team and we could be in for a whopping….hope we don’t get embarrassed

I can obviously understand the need to be conservative in team selection for this game with Peterborough on Wednesday but I suspect this team will get battered at least 6-0 which could affect some of the younger players long term.
I hope I'm wrong.

This is the FA cup not a Sunday kick about on the beach. Good money wasted to pay and travel to Annfield and on TV to watch a load of Cardiff reserves play. Never mind about Wed players should be fit enough for both games. This is Liverpool not crock them Barnsley. Very disappointed in team selection actually a joke.

Agreed this team looks really poor…. I hope they play better than this looks on paper

Agree, Liverpool are showing us a bit of respect by fielding a really strong side, getting done by 6 or 7 is not going to do anything for the confidence. My only hope is that once their third goal goes in after 10 minutes, they take their foot off the gas and bring on some of their youngsters. SM has shown a total disregard for the people that have travelled up in huge numbers.
Sun Feb 06, 2022 11:47 am
That team selection will get us battered.

good luck.
Sun Feb 06, 2022 11:53 am
Think Morison is taking the piss out of the competition and against Liverpool on telly. Expect us to be stuffed in front of millions on TV. Disgraceful selection in my view.
Sun Feb 06, 2022 12:00 pm
I'm wondering if Morison had had a bump on the head in training and suffering from concussion, Showing total disrespect for Liverpool the FA cup and mostly the Cardiff fans who have spent hard earned money to travel to watch their team. If Cardiff don't beat Posh on Wed I'd hate to be in Morisons shoes. He better get ready to escape the City.

Oliver Denham - who is he ?
Sun Feb 06, 2022 12:57 pm
Those comments above are so disrespectful, I think we are holding our own, the players picked play for Cardiff city regardless of who they are so what’s that got to do with the travelling fans. I think it’s a very wise selection by Steve Morison tbf.
I really hope that this squad shut the majority of you up. 0-0 halftime and anything can happen, have faith.

Well if they kerp playing like they are I might choke eating a massive piece of humble pie. Credit where credits due just kerp it up lads

The defence is on form yet again
Sun Feb 06, 2022 1:59 pm
I retract and eat humble pie. The team performed admirably, defended well, and, even though we could not show any attacking intent, we were not disgraced.
I'd even say, this game proved why being in the Premier League is not fun. VAR and officials appear scared to back the smaller clubs when it comes to major decisions.
Had the penalty and 2nd half keeper foul on Harris been the other way around, I have absolutely no doubt, Liverpool would have had a penalty and would be playing against 10 men.

Call yourself a fan?
Writing ‘your team off’ before a ball is kicked.
Try being positive and supporting the manager and the players he’s picked.
If we play shite or get stuffed then people can discuss and the ins and outs of it all.
Excuse of a ‘supporter’.

Please give your Barclay1 bashing a rest. This was not a negative post, but a humble one and one giving credit where credit is due..
Go have a go at a number of other posters who were similarly concerned about today's team.
I give up, I really do.....Excuse of a supporter?? That's below the belt.
Oh, and let's see this now turn Into a 'Barclay thread' not of my doing.

I’m not talking about the humble pie nonsense I’m talking about writing the team off before kick off.
It’s the same for some of the other posters, yes.
I’m not interested in turning this into an anti Barclay thread at all and In my mind I thought we would probably lose as did most other fans but give the constant negativity a rest is all I ask.

I WAS WRONG!!
What a tremendous performance there were times in that game that our players equalled Liverpool - a team that's probably cost 100 times what our side cost.
