Ultimately defeated but a valiant effort after being knocked down multiple times early on.

He gave it a go but the damage was done at the back end of round 1 until round 5.

Agree; he made a great start but then got a little over confident before Eubank caught him with a 'cheap' shot...

I thought Liam did exceptionally well to recover and take some rounds; but the truth was that Eubanks had it covered on the night

Lessons to be learned and hopefully still a bright future  :ayatollah:

I'd pay to watch a fighter like Liam Williams everytime, but not with someone who thinks he is above his opponent and showboats pathetically in every round, no class, no style and the fans were ripped off watching Eubank, thank god it was not on pay per view.

Williams did himself and everyone proud how he battled, punched and tried to regain the fight, but at the end of the day he was caught with 3 very good punches/jabs, in fact two of them I had to see again in the replay, were very quick.

But all that gobby nonsense and then the final round was embarressing by Eubank, spoilt what was a decent fight.

Eubank had his number early doors.

I read a piece on Paddy Power that said Liam was susceptible to the uppercut and although the knockdowns were jabs, they come from the waist rather than the shoulder. I know you can't discount the knockdowns as they were massive but apart from them Eubank didn't really do anything of note to warrant all the tossing about in the last round.

His name has opened doors and he is physically a specimen, well schooled but i doubt he is ever going to be a PPV sensation especially in America with all that running around. Williams has the heart of a lion but is not world class and Eubank couldn't finish the job.

He will get another shot at world level but does he even have a fan base ?
