Cardiff have received £3mill upfront and with add ons of £.5mill and £1,5mill, Cardif could eventually get £5mil, which City fans will hope will be spent this summer on new signings.
Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore batted away questions over the manner of his move away from Cardiff City, claiming he did not want to "slander" anyone with his explanation.
Moore's potential departure away from the Welsh capital city club has been a plot point for the last two transfer windows and his exit had a sense of inevitability surrounding i
Cardiff manager Steve Morison said Moore "effectively forced" through his transfer to Bournemouth after he tabled a transfer request.
Morison said he would prefer to have a group of players together fighting for survival rather than someone whose heart wasn't truly in the cause.
Morison had maintained he did not want to lose Moore, but it was out of hands what the people above decided.
Moore himself hit back on Instagram, signing off his farewell message to Bluebirds fans with a cryptic; "Don't believe everything you read in the paper."
And, in his first interview since joining Scott Parker's side, he said that one day he will explain his version of events surrounding his Cardiff exit.
"I am not going to really speak about that," he told the BBC when asked about Morison's transfer comments. "I don't want to really slander anyone or get into that.
"I am just going to skip the question. one day I will say something, maybe not."
When Wolves were interested in his services last summer, then manager Mick McCarthy said Moore was interested in securing a move to the Premier League.
Kieffer Moore was told last season that he had been sold to Wolves and at the last moment it fell through, Moore has never been the same since on the pitch.
And Moore, 29, revealed the opportunity to play in the top flight was a big pull for him to move to the south coast club.
"I have made it clear that I want to play in the Premier League," he added. "I saw this as an amazing opportunity."
