Bad start to the weekend for VAR, as they seem to think this wasn't handball in the build-up to Middlesbrough's equaliser at Manchester United.
1-1 with just over 15 minutes to play.

2 great pros who would probably still be here if it wasn't for Tan's cost cutting have helped Boro dump Man Utd out of the FA Cup. Fantastic penalties by both, I thought they were both going to miss. Great to see Sol in particular having a great, memorable moment after everything he's been through.

Didn't the rules change this season for what is & isn't deemed a handball? It was explained during the game why it wasn't given as a handball but I was only sort of watching rather than paying attention.
Anyway it was Man U so no harm done.

Depends if you deem it accidental or not, I didn't think it was.
But as you say, about time a decision went against them.

No big shocks today but Chelsea, West Ham and Southampton were all forced into extra time by lower league sides.
Tottenham lead 2-0 against Brighton in the late game, with just over 25 minutes gone.
