Rae- 300 games for Rangers and City (although he is going backwards fast in fairness)
Macphil- would be taken by most sides in the division ans played all his career at the top level

Notice they play in positions at the spine of a team

There must be a whole load of stupid managers around.

Mind you if you consider our reserves are on a par with Arsenal then fair enough ;)

Maybe we could replace them with Ferdinand, lampard, Steve Gerrard and Vidic ?

McPhail is still a classy player. I don't think anybody was complaining when he created so much last season !

Rae's appearances will be limited now seeing we've got Olofinjana.

Hudson and Gyepes will be satisfactory for now seeing we've got big Seyi - it makes a load of difference.

Hopefully Riggott can come in and do well :ayatollah:

agree about the later 3, but imo, i just can't see how people can use the word 'classy' over mcphail? mcphail LOOKS to go backwards, yes give me mcphail over rae anyday but i just can't see what people see in him

He keeps the ball moving - that's what. It makes a difference to the side when he's not available. But having signed Olofinjana and Drinkwater, and the fact that Whittingham is in the side every week, will now limit the amount of appearances McPhail will make. Did you see Whittingham against Doncaster ? He was magnificent, spreading the ball, keeping it moving, in much the same way McPhail does. It's a small part of the game, but it goes an awful long way IMO.

Dont agree in the slightest about McPhail, I rate him highly.

Rae is now where good enough.

Gypes is OK

Hudson is poor to average
