Raging Steve Morison hits out at Barnsley and lifts lid on Cardiff City tunnel scrap

Tykes assistant coach Joseph Laumann took umbrage with Morison's celebrations near the tunnel by the away fans, minutes after he went toe to toe with Mark Hudson on the touchline.

Morison said the animated Bluebirds celebrations at the end, and subsequent tunnel spat, stemmed from Mads Andersen's reckless challenge on Alfie Doughty and the hosts' all-round conduct throughout the evening.

STEVE MORISON:

"It didn't look good, neither did Alfie," Morison said of the injury to his captain Sean Morrison.

"That was an awful tackle (on Doughty) and now we could have lost two very important players, so that's really, really frustrating

"That's why there was so much passion at the end, because that was a really naughty tackle.

"They were flipping crap. They were hiding towels for the long throws and just being really nasty.

"Do you know what happens when people do that? They get their comeuppance at the end and this is karma.

"Karma came and bit them in the a**e today."

When asked to explain exactly why Laumann had reacted in the manner he did, Morison said: "The assistant manager didn't like the fact that they lost. He didn't handle it very well.

"It was fine. He just picked the wrong person."

All Cardiff will care about is taking those three points back down to south Wales after a battling victory at Oakwell.

Ikpeazu's dream debut winner was the icing on the cake and Morison praised not only his new signing, but the "phenomenal' youngster who turned the game around.

"It was huge. It was a horrible game of football, I didn't enjoy it one bit," he said.
