Goodwillie if I recall right was on our radar. I think if was under Dave Jones era but don't quote me on that. He has picked up a rape charge since then and Raith Rover fans are up in arms as he has just signed for them.

As most of us know Malky Mackey is the Raith Rovers manager today and I would have a guess he had a big saying in this. My immediate thoughts here are that Malky is not doing himself any favours here. One or two of Raith Rover high profile fans have retracted their support for the club. Support I guess they can ill afford to lose. At present it does not look good for them up there.

The club have comeback with the argument that they believe in Rehabilitation. A factor of what Malky went through during his accusations of racism. It does sound honourable but is it being used as an excuse as this Goodwillie is good enough to fire Raith Rovers into the Scottish Premier. If he manages to do that will all this be swept under carpet by the Raith fans?

Dodged a bullet there, decent player but absolute looney tune.

DG might be an awful person but there was not enough evidence to mount a criminal case and the civil case was decided on 'balance of probabilities' rather than evidence. The case sounds very similar to the Ched Evans one.

As he has not been found guilty of criminality he should be free to earn a living and I firmly believe in second chances.

FYI Malky is indeed Ross County manager and therefore they are a team I am looking out for this season - good luck to MM, one of my favourite City managers with 2011-2013 being awesome years.

You are certainly right but we cannot judge people presuming they are guilty when a court of law has not found them so.

Rape allegations generally come down to he said she said. I’ve no idea if he’s guilty. Ched Evans was ultimately proven not guilty but don’t recall all the celebs like Jesica Ennis who lined up to have a pop at him apologising after the retrial.

Interesting the reaction DGs signing has provoked in Scotland, home of Celtic, who facilitated a paedophile ring for decades, 8 now charged with child abuse offences. Links to Bennel, nonce clergyman and even Jimmy Savile, yet no outcry from the politicians and minor celebrities falling over themselves to attack Raith Rovers.
