Cardiff City boss Steve Morison: "We are"

Wed Feb 02, 2022 9:30 am

Cardiff City boss Steve Morison:

"We are in a much better position than we were, you can see that from the result (against Nottingham Forest) at the weekend."

"Two huge games either side of Liverpool. Beating Barnsley and Peterborough are the key to getting totally away from a relegation battle."

"We can see if we can get ourselves up the table and see where we go from there."

Any win is welcome - but looking at the table even if we win the next 2 games - we would still be in the same position - level with the JB's assuming they lose the next 2. We have -18 goal difference.

It just shows how poor we really were. Hopefully now - there is no turning back and we'll start to get some results - where previously we would have lost. Actually looking forward to the rest of the season - rather than just sitting there an enduring rubbish.

It's not about the position, it's about the points between us and the bottom three.

But yeah, a lot more positivity about the place at the moment.

WOULDN'T IT BE NICE TO WAKE UP TOMORROW AND BE ONLY 3 POINTS BEHIND THE PEG SELLERS!

I'm surprised at reading that term from you of all people after some of your previous posts/opinions on such matters...!
