Hugill / Chopra

Mon Jan 31, 2022 12:44 pm

I have never been a Hugill fan, he was always so annoying when playing against us! Of course now I have completely changed my opinion and think he could be a huge fans favourite for us!!
Watching him play yesterday he reminded me a lot of Chopra. The way he walks and runs, the timing of his runs and his all round game. Am I the only one?

I thought the finish to his goal was a bit of a miss kick but I'm not complaining. Always delighted when a debut scores.

I loved the way he got into positions that made the pass easy for the midfielders to make. He looks an intelligent player more than anything.

Not really. Doesn't seem slow but not half as quick as Chopra and seems more of a physical forward than a poacher.

He looks nasty which we need. And he looks to have a lot more to his all round game which we also need. Moore leaving is a pain. But I wonder if hugill will be a better fit for the way Morison is intending to set up the team? Moore was ideal for how we played before but we are looking to control more and knock it around more.

Definately. Intelligent layoffs throughout the game and the ball also stuck to him like glue.

To be honest, I thought more in the Peter Thorne mould. Read the game well, won many headers and directed the ball well. He doesn't seem to be the biggest, but times his jump well and reads the game well. One other bonus was that I can't remember any fouls given against him while challenging for the headers either. :)

…and if he has a shocker we’d be comparing him to Fred Gounogbe. :ayatollah:

He is not like Chopra at all; far from it.
Thought he did really well yesterday and hope he carries on with that endeavour
