Steve Morison: ‘ Kieffer Moore ‘

Sun Jan 30, 2022 7:25 pm

Cardiff City boss Steve Morison said he expects to see Kieffer Moore reporting for training on Monday as he revealed the Bluebirds had not received any concrete offers for the Wales striker.

The Bluebirds front man has been absent for a month after going off against Bournemouth with an ankle knock and it is the Cherries who have been credited with an interest in signing him before Monday's 11pm deadline.

Steve Morison:

“I will have to wait and hear from the board , if they receive a bid it will be out of my hands.”

Morison obviously wants him to stay but the board are putting him in the window, he's fit to play but SM hands are tied

I def think the board won’t him gone, but No real bids so far

interesting what happens if he does stay. This season Moore hasn't knocked in the same sort of performance that Hugill gave today

What if we agreed to loan him out as long as they paid his wages? That way we get him back when hugill goes and it saves us some cash.

I dont give this story any credit whatsoever. In my personal opinion the Regime has this 'CCFC insider' in their back pocket. Trying to discredit a player to back up their reasons for touting a player looking for suitors.

Moore knows he can't demand a 'huge payrise' in the middle of a campaign, and he also is man enough to know, at the moment he doesn't deserve one.

Good attempt Regime, but supporters are not stupid.

Why are you doubting it ?

Even the Sam supporters have admitted Moore is only on around £12k a week. That may sound low but he signed it and he’s got a bloody cheek now refusing to play after one good season with a club that gave him a chance.

At no point this season has he put in a performance anywhere near as good as Hughill so at the moment £12k for a 2nd choice centre forward seems about right!!

In all seriousness I want Moore to stay but I do get a little annoyed when players less than half the way through their contracts decide to down tools.

If clubs don’t meet our valuation then he’ll have to fight for his place.

In his defence. He’s a full international and valued at 5 to 7 million. Therefore should be on more than 12k a week.

It’s the sort of thinking that lost us ledley for free when we refused to up his pay despite valuing him at 6 million.

If Tan went to prison to visit Myra Hindley, sweet talked her into giving up the location of the children she killed. Barclay would say I bet he was rude to her.

Re: Steve Morison: ‘ Kieffer Moore ‘

Moore was fit to play today albeit not match fit. Normally he’d be on the bench.

He wants out. He wants more money. He’s chasing the £££££

The club will obviously sell him if an acceptable bid comes in as he doesn’t want to know. You can’t blame the club for this in my opinion.
Personally I hope we get a bid and he’s sold.

Kieffer head was turned by the undervalution by Wolves pre-season, as long as we get a good price cheerio. More concerned in Rubin Colwell recent abcense of the 1st team squad, he's a future star and shouldn't be sold for peanuts never mind KM.

I get that, and if we were having this conversation last summer I would have said he should be given an improved contract. However, as soon as he heard of an offer from elsewhere he just wanted to go.

There is no loyalty in football, I get that. But allowing it to affect your game is not acceptable, and a centre forward today give absolutely everything to the cause despite just being a loan player is something that, maybe, Moore should take note of.

I would love to see Moore stay and play with our new signings but maybe Morison thinks he’s now one of those dressing room “bad apples” that Warnock was always so good at weeding out.

I’m not sure this is solely about money now. We’ll soon find out with just 24 hours on the window to go.

Don't think Rubin is ready for the championship yet. I hope we get another body in and allow him to drop a few levels on loan for the rest of the season.

I also think he is a striker

Just after Sean Morrison was encouraged to switch agents to the employer of then manager Neil Warnock he got a substantial pay increase.

Perhaps Kieffer Moore who recently transferred to the same agency was expecting a similar result and was aggrieved when the club (now with a different manager) refused to do so?

Personally I hope we get a bid and he’s sold.

Coming from you, I'd tend to believe this is the situation and the quicker he goes (hopefully today) the better for all concerned

No matter what he earns, this season we have not had our monies worth out of him :(

Re: Steve Morison: ‘ Kieffer Moore ‘

The game is changing, refs don't ref target men well. Moore gets assaulted some weeks and never gets anything then gets booked for an innocuous leap.

You need the big man the lower you go down the pyramid because you don't have the passers to release speed players.

I don't think Moore is just a big man,Hugill did that role better yesterday, but he is a very good footballer whose size sometimes counts against him.

I hope we go down the Nicky Marnard, Frazier Campbell mould next season.

Re: Steve Morison: ‘ Kieffer Moore ‘

Mon Jan 31, 2022 7:24 pm

I know they are loans. But when you look at the types of players Morison has targeted and brought in. You can see the set up he WANTS. which is an approach we have been calling for for years. Hopefully it’s enough to keep us up and give him a full close season to build the team he wants.
