REALITY CHECK

Sat Sep 18, 2010 3:58 pm

We have a team full of injury prone players and this is proving to be the downfall at present.

We were expecting to walk this league this season, but the last 2 games we have had a reality check, our Central defenders are shocking and we have just signed another injury prone player.

The pressure was always on our team and manager after the signing of Bellamy but lets be realistic, there are no easy games in this league and we do not have the strength in depth at the moment to compete at the top. :(

It was only after the Hull win that many on here stated that our current squad is so much better than last year and we can cover for injuries a lot better.

What Injury prone players do people wish we didnt sign then? people have been saying Oli is our most important player, is another player of his quality not so injury prone available on loan? or on a free

Bellamy, Didnt hear any complaints when he signed?

Drinkwater has had his injuries but still played a lot of games last season.

Rigott, well the above reason on CB really, we tried to get CB's on loan, Gabbs, Loovens but couldnt. Rigott is a very good defender but the reason he is available on a free is because of his injuries, its a risk but thats why he is available.

Other player out is Chops and I wouldnt say he is injury prone. I just think its unfortunate that they are out together.
It was always going to be a tough season no matter what, I still have faith in this squad though
