Ok, here's my take on the Jan window

Sat Jan 29, 2022 4:06 pm

If we can get this Palace winger and Hugill, together with Doughty, Drameh and Doyle, add to this the return of Wintle and Watters, then in terms of numbers I'll be generally pleased.

In terms of the fact they are ( Hugill apart) Mainly kids, and they are loans where we pay A fraction of the wages still shows we are more than skint and, to a certain extent trusting to luck to stay up.

It'll be interesting what happens to the loans at the end of the season. But for now, it's a better than expected window, but it is one that has been demanded and is necessary due to criminally negligent running of the club over the last 18 months.

The difference is that the kids we’ve brought in look better than our kids. I’d much rather have a kid with something to prove in our team rather than a journeyman on double the edge.

As I’ve said a few times, I’ve always found Barclay a good poster who is always courteous. I don’t always agree with what he says but providing I’m courteous back, I think that’s what the forum is all about.

Cheers Annis.... absolutely! Really appreciate the support.

Every defeat I am gutted, and I don't want the feelings I have this year to roll over to next year. Tan must either get to grips with running a club, and create a winning side, or he must sell to someone who can.

I wouldn't necessarily disagree with what you say. It is true the kids we have brought in ARE better than what we have.

Let's see if they are hungry for it.

I do however feel that we also, without doubt, need at least one experienced head in the team that also has the quality needed.

I agree!

A bit of occasional positivity (my banter with him) would help his cause though...! ;) :laughing6: :ayatollah:
