Very disappointing, players who should be trying to impress as they look to regain their places in the first team squad are playing.

Just as in the last game we played, against Ipswich, it's hard to tell what the plan is or even if there is one - it's miles off what we were seeing before November .

CARDIFF FIELD STRONG TEAM TO FACE JACKS ( who’s first team play tonight) .

@PattenKeenan equalised for Cardiff City :bluebird:

Steve Morison their to watch:

After two successive defeats for the Bluebirds , Cardiff today will field a string U23’S side v their rivals Swansea.

They hope to get back to winning ways, then and the U16’s have been struggling lately.

Cardiff need promotion from this league and need to be challenging at a higher level as it showed when these lads were out in the first team squad, they were still not good enough.

Wonder if he's starting Watters up front to see if he does well as a lone striker. Personally I'd start him on Sunday as we need goals.
If he's withdrawn before the end could give us a clue.

GOAL! Cardiff City 0-1 Swansea City (Forrester)

Forrester makes no mistake.

Swans lead.

Swansea finding some joy in the wide areas. Lloyd threads a wonderful ball through for McFayden.

Ratcliffe was always going to win it, but the flag is up anyway.

He's not long come back from injury so It might just be to get some more minutes in. As you, he could quite easily play 50-60mins today and still feature on Sunday.

On a side note, colwill starting probably suggests he isnt going anywhere - as it stands.

Scrappy start to this second half. Cardiff trying to press a little more aggressively, but Swans coping reasonably well so far.

Really impressed with Ratcliffe his starting position was superb and closed the swans striker down to deny space for the late one on one

Patten and semenyo as well I thought had really good games

Be interesting to see how some of these progress in the next couple of years

Was told Bowen did well - if so then why loan him to Newport? He’d do a better job probably than the first team central midfielders

Watters did ok, they never fed him the ball enough.

Bowen played well.
