That’s why they decided to take reduced allocation, save us looking embarrassed.

However ,with Liverpool. The club could have taken 5,000 tickers sale or return but opted for the larger allocation of 6,900 but we can't return any now,so let's sell them out.
Our last 2 visits to Anfield in the Premier league were problematic..we only had half the lower stand and many of the back rows had restricted views...people who were in these seats moved to others causing issues ,we know our fans never sit in the right seats but normally it's not an issue because everyone can see wherever they sit this is not the case in Liverpool.
We have refused to take any seats thst are classed restricted view..that means due to us having all the bottom stand ,means we forfeit 800 tickets on one hand but stop an issue on the other hand.
Fans want to see the game wherever they sit or stand and if we took every possible place we would have had problems like we had the last twice we visited.
We still have a great allocation of 6900 and hopefully the club were right to take the bigger allocation and they sell out but there is no doubt in my mind that refusing restricted views for this game was correct...it would not have been great it we had a lot smaller allocation like for a league match.

Much preferred Everton’s ground when we played them both in the premier. Not a great view and it didn’t help that we had about 17% possession either.
