My View: The Truth / Reality

First: I am well chuffed for Waite, but just like many of our Academy players that are coming through, League 1 & 2 is where most will end up and shine. A couple will make it in the Championship like Rubin Colwill and that is the truth.
The problem is the local media are doing Dalmans words and making out we have all these stars, I feel for some of these players the pressure they are then put under as fans then expect class Championship players.

Your Browns, Harris, Bagan etc are lower league players.

10 Of them were thrown in to the first team squad on command of Tan / Dalman and then the local Media made out 10 amazing players, that’s why we are where we are now in the Championship and Morison realises that.

Even Steve Morison only ever starts games with one or two of them max.

Waite tipped for big things after Exiles move

Former Cardiff youngster James Waite has been hailed as a potential star of the future by former Newport striker Rhys Griffiths.

Waite made his Exiles debut off the bench during the 4-0 win over Harrogate Town on Saturday, having recently signed an 18-month deal with County.

Waite was one of the Cardiff Academy players that was supposedly one of Cardiff’s future stars, but was eventually released last summer by the Bluebirds.

The move has seen him reunite with former Bluebirds coach James Rowberry, who took the County hotseat at the beginning of the season.

And he's hoping to hit the ground running in League Two, after developing under former Newport star Griffiths at Welsh League side Penybont.

"I have to say that in training he is the best finisher that I have ever seen – with his feet that is because he's not going to score a lot of headers!" Griffiths told the South Wales Argus.

While there has been a clear shift to lean more on youngsters even if good enough or not, Cardiff must be careful not to lose all of their experience, especially given how crucial the upcoming months are going to be.

The Bluebirds are going to need experienced heads as this campaign comes to a head and Flint is certainly one of those and can be important at both ends of the pitch for Cardiff as they look to dig themselves out of this concerning hole in which they find themselves.
