Calm down Monty boy.
When the club knows then you’ll know.

My educated guess for Saturday would be:
No
No
And no

Looking forward to this trip to Trashton Gate, we always outsing the Wurzles. We cannot lose to the Carrot Crunchers, they hate us even more than the Jerks.

They certainly do, mate...

The Jerks are just a jealous, inferior rabble with no real heart for the fight; but the Wurzels are different in the intensity of their dislike for us due to the historic maritime and industrial rivalry

Mind you, the Jerks are none too popular after their last visit over the bridge and through their inability to behave have affected the away attendance numbers for us this time

2,400 of ours behind the goal is going to make one heck of a noise and (as you said) this is likely to be their biggest gate of the season, as their lot fear being drowned out by the Welsh choir... :D :ayatollah:

That they do mate!

Their forum reads that they're not looking forward to 2400 Cardiff behind a goal outsinging them all match as it gives us an advantage. I remember a few seasons ago when Trashton was being upgraded, the players entrance was right next to the away stand and we booed them on, booed them off at HT, booed them on again and then booed them off again after we won. The noise all game was great and we need to do that again on Saturday.

They're expecting their biggest crowd of the season - 19.5K sold as of yesterday and projected 22K. I feel SM knows the Severnside Derby is a big deal for both teams, he will make sure our lads are well up for it and we all need to show the Carrot Crunchers how we roll on Saturday.

Haha it’s ok!

Well it’s no for Giles as yet but I hear it’s up to the Wolves board not us.

The way Morison is I’d expect Moore to be on the bench.

We’ve got Doyle but I think knowing the posters on here they’ll expect Zidane type of performances from him.
Big step up to a Championship rush, rush relegation fight for him but hopefully he’s got enough skill to perform for us.

Match facts

Bristol City are looking to record their first league double over Cardiff since the 2002-03 season under Danny Wilson.

Cardiff City have won four of their last five away league matches against Bristol City, including the last two without conceding a goal.

The away side has won the last five league meetings between Bristol City and Cardiff City; the last time an EFL fixture was won by the away team in six games in a row was Ipswich vs Derby between 2015 and 2017, a joint-record seven consecutive away wins.

Bristol City have kept just six clean sheets in 40 Championship matches under Nigel Pearson, conceding 70 goals in those matches.

They lost 6-2 to Fulham last time out, only the second time Pearson has overseen a side concede six goals in an English league match, having been in caretaker charge of Newcastle for a 6-0 defeat to Man Utd in January 2008.

Cardiff are without a clean sheet in any of their last 23 league matches, only once enduring a longer run without a shutout, going 34 games between October 1933 and August 1934.

Doyle not guaranteed games

Could we see new boy Tommy Doyle today?

Perhaps. Although Morison says there's no clause or agreement guaranteeing the Man City loanee game time, and he will have to prove he deserves a place in Morison's starting line-up.

"No. Often we have three in there and no-one has got an automatic right to play, not even Tommy," Morison said.

"There is nothing (in his contract) saying he has to play games of football - before people start thinking that.

"He has got to come in and earn his place on the training ground to start off with and he's got to perform, along with everyone else, and we will pick the best three.

"It's great. We are going into that period where there is going to be a big turnaround in players.

"A really good squad is all about its depth and being able to replace if needed to."

Delivered in well by Doyle. Martin makes an intervention, but it's played off the Bristol City man for another corner by Pack, who's receiving a warm reception from the home ground against his former club...

Second corner is cleared.

Doyle taking responsibilty for the setpieces, and it's not difficult to see why.

A floated ball in the box from the halfway line causes a spot of bother for the hosts, but they manage to clear their lines.

O'Dowda tries to make something at the other end and is convinced he's won a corner.

Referee disagrees.
