A comedy of unecessary errors from the Bluebird defence within seconds of taking the lead sees Bristol equalise with a well taken goal....

Sorry, but Curtis Nelson caused the issue

LATEST SCORE: BRISTOL CITY 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY
City scorer: James Collins

Steve Morison fuming with Mark Harris

Steve Morison with a rather angry scream at Mark Harris there. Ducked out of one or two tackles in the last few minutes and has been a bit off the pace, all told.

Flint saved on the line / All Bristol City now

Martin denied!

His header is past Smithies but Flint comes around and boots it off the line.

Solid defending from Drameh to quell a dangerous attack and dispossess Semenyo in the box. Appeals for a penalty but it was a fair challenge.

An overall positive first half from the Bluebirds, who started well, weathered some good Bristol play and for once we went ahead with a superb goal created by Tommy Doyle and finished by James Collins before Bristol hit back immediately from thr kick off, largely thanks to Curtis Nelson's action

As someone I'm in touch with at the game said. 'We do the hardwork of actually scoring first and then another soft goal lets us down and it's killing us!'

HALF-TIME SCORE: BRISTOL CITY 1 - 1 CARDIFF CITY
City scorer: James Collins

What is Morison meant to do when the centre backs he’s inherited are borderline brain dead

Bright first five minutes and a great goal but Bristol are the better team. What irks me is they are first to the second ball and when we have the ball we are giving it away cheaply. Harris has been awful today, needs to be hooked for Davies. We have to start winning the midfield battle too and the decision to start Pack rather than Wintle is baffling. The goal we conceded sums up our season, a car crash. Will take a point now,

Some positives……
City playing far better under Morison than they did under Mc Carthy. The 2Ds are playing well - Doyle and Dramah. Also Collins has worked really hard. :bluebird:

When is the defence coach Hudson going to influence what we do at the back
i was accused of getting on hudson's back to early
well he should be making his mark by now but we still are leaking goals and gi ing away silly mistakes.

We can blame the quality of the squad but Morison is making it more difficult than it should be.

Wintle great last week (and all season by the sounds of it), gets dropped this week. Pack came on last week and totally slowed us down…starts this week and again the game is passing him by.

Davies came on last week - brilliant energy and good quality. Doesn’t start.

Morison needs to put more trust in players that are playing well. His reliance on the usual suspects smacks of someone who is trying to secure a long term job.

Vyner can’t defend in the air. This is a big advantage to us. They losing their captain (King) and the tall defender (Atkinson) who can counter Flint are significant advantages that we can/should exploit. We know our defence will let us down but they already have so perhaps no more poor defending as we’ve already paid the price for the day.

I am cautiously optimistic.

Not that bad a performance but that doesn't say much compared to the dross served up this season. to many players not winning their battles Harris, Pack and McGuiness the worst.

We are in desperate need of some pace in this team and not having Giles today is a massive loss. For me we need Isaac Davies to replace Harris let's see if his pace and direct approach can unsettle the wurzels.

We need something or for me this is only going one way.

Ng and Drameh mix up on the right and Semenyo breaks. Pack does well in scrambling defence and slows down the chance before Dasilva belts one high and handsome from 25 yards out.

Massengo clumsily brings down Harris in a dangerous area.

Doyle surely to whip one in from here, on the near side about 20 yards out.
