14 YEARS ON: BLUEBIRDS PATH TO FA CUP FINAL 2008

Cardiff City played Portsmouth in the 2008 FA Cup Final (the Bluebirds third appearance) 14 years ago this weekend in what was for many who witnessed, the best run of games seen in many a year

Here, we look at the Bluebirds route taken to that season’s FA Cup final, played at Wembley Stadium

Loved that season and the incredible run to the FA Cup Final :clap:

I was lucky enough to be at all the games except the one to our (now) friends at Chase Town in thr 3rd round

There was just 'something' about that run that made us believe we were going somewhere

Unlike the Blackpool Play-off Final, where I actually shed a tear of disappointment, I was immensely proud to be a Bluebird on that day, where the margin between success and (ultimate) failure was minute

The Bluebird faithful were immense on that day too and were universally praised for our vocal support and our sporting behaviour on the day, where most stayed behind after tge final whistle to laud our own whilst acknowledging the Harry Redknapp's victors :clap:
